Friday while we were in the Chicago area we spent the day with the Naperville Baleikos. It was nice enough by Michigan standards (by that I mean it was not raining, and it was above 65 degrees) to take a dip in the seasoned Baleiko pool. The kids jumped right in. Grammy and Aunt Mary were brave and got in next; despite the initial chill, they stayed in quite a while. Manders got in next, only to be splashed as I cannonballed into the pool next to her.
We all managed to adjust to the cool water temps pretty well, all except Owen, whose lips turned blue and his teeth started chattering very early on. We finally dragged everyone out for refreshments---of the heated variety! Manders ran in and made hot chocolate with marshmallows for the kids and that helped warm them up. Then we headed off to the hot tub to finish the thermal recharge.
