Santa's Village

Thanks to the excellent travel planning services of one Great Aunt Amy, we spent our afternoon at Santa's Village upon arriving in the Chicago area.  What fun!  The rides were just right, the size of the park was just right, and the size of the fun was enormous!  The kids loved the rides, and most of them they could ride on their own; this was great seeing that the 3 adults with them maxed out on rides very early on.

While there, we also had the chance to get their faces painted.

After we departed Santa's Village, we had dinner at Moe's Southwestern Grill with Great Aunt Amy.  It was a delicious end to the visit.  Once the kids were fed, we piled them back into the car and headed to the hotel.  I then had the task of cleaning them up and getting them to bed, and hopefully to sleep, all in the same room.  Ah, the joys of traveling.   Mitchell passed right out, but the youngest two took some finessing to get them sleeping.  Once asleep, things were ok.... but it was a brief state, because of course they woke up at their usual crack of dawn time.... ON MICHIGAN TIME. And so the day started...
