Fort Sleeping Monkey

Here are some lighter pix (as compared to the multitude of unhealthy reports as of late). The boys (and Lucy too) enjoyed some quality fort time over the weekend. Bring back any memories of the sheet-constructed empires in my room Ruthie? As soon as Owen can quit tugging on the sheets I might actually be able to think about expanding their hideouts.
















Lucy is saying lots of things now. Among others, she has words for: hi, nose, no, momo (monkey), dog, oof oof, more, num nums (food), drink, and she has a word for brothers that continues to evolve. And here is the sleeping angel, all snuggled up with one of her monkeys. This is frequently her method of sleep.

1 Little, 2 Little, 3 Million Little Snowflakes

So here are the snow pictures! It is still snowing like crazy out there!

There's no day like a snow day.

Yesterday Northern Michigan was blessed with an abundance of snow.... enough to cancel school for us! This came as a welcome treat because:
a) we needed the extra time to let our sick kids mend,
b) we haven't had one in forever, and
c) who doesn't like snow days?!?!?!

The boys are making progress (the good kind) on their health; after visiting the doctor himself and receiving 3 different meds, Ken is now on the road to recovery as well. Lucy has been dealing with the nasty side effects of the antibiotics (we actually had to switch which one she was on), but maybe things will start improving???? I hope so. Besides the ear infections, the cough, the side effects of antibiotics, she has multiple teeth pushing through again.... poor girl. She keeps her spirits up still, and it is truly amazing.

Owen, zoned out watching his favorite show, "Wow Wow Wubzy". He is wearing his favorite hat, which he wears every waking moment while he is at home.


Mitchell, showing off what few teeth he has left (haha). Sooner or later the tooth fairy will bring him some front teeth... its only been 4 and a half months.

Cough Cough Hack Hack

We are definitely in the midst of another round of germs, this time, the coughing variety. Despite everyone hacking, we are still managing to play and smile. Lucy loves to find her boots, put them on herself, and clomp around the house. Owen loves to find letters and recognize his own name. Mitchell likes to read anything he can. They are all enjoying coloring time.






















PART 2 to the posting:
After Lucy woke up from her nap it was very apparent that she was not doing well health wise. I took her in to the clinic where she was diagnosed with 2 ear infections and fluid on her left lung. UGH. It has been a delicately managed evening so far, but thankfully Lucy has some meds in her system now... maybe she'll start improving.
While we were all in the doctor's office, the doctor was eyeballing the 2 coughing brothers.... so they will stay home from school tomorrow and get their checkups. Send some health karma our way if you can.

Tickly-Wicklies!

I am nervous that another serious round of illnesses is knocking at/knocking down our door, so before it hits here is a fun post of Lulu. She is now the proud owner of 4 top teeth, and 5 bottom teeth that we can see. Oddly enough some of her molar-type teeth are coming in on the sides/back. With these new teeth she has been eating like MAD. She would make the buffet-team proud already. She continues to bring good cheer, which hopefully she will share with you now. :)
