Saturdays Everyday

In this bliss-filled stretch of Saturdays everyday, we found ourselves having the most glorious outside day. After an early morning fashion show put on by the kids, we went outside and stayed there until dinnertime. We played soccer, swung on the big swing, had a beach party on the grass, played catch, and the kids washed my car. After lunch we played in the monkey pool, raced dump trucks down the hill, and weeded the garden... well, okay, I weeded the garden. Mitchell managed to pull some out for me, and Lucy and Owen were "helping" in their own way. Somewhere in all the fun we enjoyed some ice cream and Popsicles too.

Magnificant Mani-Pedi

It is no secret that Lucy is the Princess in the house. She has taken a liking to having her toenails painted, and even her fingernails. Amazingly, she sits very still for it. She prefers if they match, especially if they match Mommy's toes too. Unfortunately for her, Mommy just can't bring herself to wear pink. Here is the Princess with her freshly painted PINK.

Big Girl

Our Miss Lucy is growing up; today she graduated to a big girl bed. The bed frame was used by Grammy and Aunt Ruthie, and now by her. This morning we went and got some pillows; she insisted on adding a pink one to the cart along with the standard size. Later we went and got the mattress. Once home, she wasted no time in piling her beloved monkeys up on the mattress with her, and "practicing" night night time. She even let her brothers up to check it out.
The true test will be over the next several nights as she adjusts (us as well) to her new-found freedoms. Wish us luck.
