Boo-tiful!

Here are pix from the pumpkin carving and the actual jack-o-lanterns. They sure are boo-tiful... too bad they will come crashing to their demise at the 3rd Annual Rogers' Pumpkin Chucking.   :)

Naperville Comes North

The Naperville Baleikos made a northward trek for the annual assemblage of the deer fence at 160 Lakewood.  After their long day of work, they brought food to Boon and we supplied entertainment.  There was a post-dinner game of chess and lots of hugs to go around.

Tractor Drive!

As if Owen wasn't excited enough about his upcoming Tractor Party.... Farmer Ray came and invited the boys to help him take down a few rows of corn in the field the other day.  You would have thought he hung the moon!  The boys clambered inside the cab with Ray and chugged around the rows.  You couldn't peel the smiles off of either of them that night!

Farming=Big "Toys"

The other weekend Farmer Ray came to harvest  the corn on our property.  The weather was wonderful and this was our sight.  Owen was very interested.  I think it was that day that he decided he wanted a tractor birthday party.

Jumping in with Two Feet

 October's weather has been a bit bipolar.... 40s and rain one week and nearly 80 and sunny the next.  We are back into the 40s,  but I thought I'd show off some of the fun we've had when the weather has been so glorious.

PINK!

While we are a few days early, today we celebrated Lucy's 4th birthday with family and friends.  This year she decided that she should have a Pink Party, and EVERYONE (even me) had to wear pink to get in.   She has been counting down the moments until today when the first guests rolled in.  Then a pink princess pumpkin was placed on the table.  Presents were plentiful, and very, very pink.  The cupcakes, too, were plentiful, and very, very pink.  They were also monkeys.
Waiting for the fun to begin!

Yay!  Polly Pockets!
A monkey mask for our monkey girl!

This year's big milestone gift: the booster seat for the car.  No more 5 point harness for her!  She has been waiting for this.  We "had" to take it out to my car tonight.  Then when I was tucking her in she was asking where we could go tomorrow, so she could use her new seat.

After the presents and pink cupcakes, we had some playtime with friends.  The new Polly Pockets were busted out of the wrappers, princess costumes were tried on, and lots of fun was had by all.

All in all, it was a perfectly pink day!
