After dinner tonight we went walking in the cornfields behind the house. The corn is now well above my head, and it towers above the kiddos. What a fun adventure! They loved walking through the tickling leaves, finding pathways, and finding each other by following voices. They also found some excellent large rocks that can be put to use in the pond or waterfall construction.

Camping in the Cornfield
Summer camp has been rushing by--The boys and I have been doing that 4 days a week last week and this. Last week I taught math to grades 2, 3, 4, and 5, and this week I am teaching art/writing to grades K, 1, and 2. It has been so much fun to get to work with different kids and topics than during the school year. Each day we end the camp day with a group activity. We've had relay races, done chalk art, made paper hats, blew bubbles, and had water balloon fights. Last week one day we were treated to ice cream from The Dairy Pit (a local ice cream shop).
