"Back to Labor" Day

Ah, glorious summer days are drawing to an end. Wouldn't you know its been fabulous all summer long, and now that I'll be stuck in school all day it is supposed to be in the mid-90s!

So as we try to fit in a few last family moments, I started off making ebleskivers for breakfast... Mitchell had almost a dozen! Lucy chomped on some of her own too.

This afternoon we had the kids outside playing in the pool and they certainly enjoyed it. Miss Lucy had a ball splashing her brothers. Here they are basking in the sunshine and heat.















On other fronts, Mitchell has a wiggler on top! Both of his top front teeth have been loose for a while, but this one is now dangling. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out this week. Also this week--Mitchell starts Kindergarten with Mrs. Manley. YAY! He couldn't be more excited. Grammy takes him to the open house on Tuesday, and then he'll have his first full day of school on Wednesday. He is very much looking forward to packing his lunch in his new lunch bag.

Owen has his open house for preschool on Wednesday, and he will start school next Monday. That means BOTH boys will come to school with me in the morning.... that should be "interesting".

For now, I will continue my anxious thoughts of switching grades, and force myself to sing "school bells ringing, children singing" to get me through the day. :)
