Christmas and Birthdays and Smiles Oh My!

Chaos continues here in Boon, and our kiddos have brought in the loot here over the holidays. We had Christmas Eve dinner here at our house and the boys were very excited to have visitors.... especially those bearing gifts. Uncle Matt was even put to work assembling some toys.

Christmas morning was wonderful (and it didn't even start psycho early!). The boys oohed and ahhed and squealed at all the right times. Here are the boys in action with opening gifts.... and trying them out afterwards!

Mitchell's 5th Birthday was celebrated a bit early to enjoy the family that was still in town. He was very excited about getting presents again. He was also very pleased with his Handy Manny cake that he's been talking about for months. His greatest joy probably came from the Marble Works, as gifted from Grammy and Papa Baleiko...

On Lucy's side of the story, she also enjoyed Christmas... mostly by sleeping through all the frenzied gift opening (She is a remarkable sleeper--and yes, she is my daughter). Her favorite so far has to be her new mobile... it goes nicely with her flowered room. It has brought many smiles already. I managed to catch one today. On another developmental note, she is working on a laugh for us to go with her frequent smiles.

Toys R Us must light up when they see the Rogers family coming :) Have fun with the months of new-toy fun. What were the biggest hits?

The egg chair from Uncle Marc and Aunt Mary is definitely a fave, as well as the marble works set from Grammy and Papa Baleiko. They also got a new kitchen set that they spend lots of time with.
I know Ben must be getting into the joys of Christmas by now... what toys is he liking?
