Under Review
As Mitchell is now marching with the High School band, he got the chance to be in the Marching Band Review in Cadillac this year. The weather was usually warm for October (75), but it was fantastic for the fans in the stands! They did several pieces and they all looked sharp.

Blue Lake
Both Mitchell and Owen had the huge opportunity to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer to play their instruments. What an amazing experience for both the kids and the parents! The boys LOVED their time there, and we the parents were stunned by the musical performances on the last day. It was beyond words. I think we are all hoping we can make this the first year of many that they attend.

Music to Our Ears
Mitchell had his end-of-the-year band concert this week. What a neat show! All of the bands--5th grade, 6th grade, jr. high, and senior high--played several differnt songs in a collage format. That means no breaks! It was neat to see each group handle the transitions. And the music was great! And at the end of the concert, all of the bands rearranged and played together for the final piece.

Christmas Music
The 5th and 6th grade bands treated us to a night of music before school went of break. It was very cool to hear them play! Our very own clarinet player did quite nicely!
