Bulldog Homecoming

Last night was the Homecoming football game for the Mesick Bulldogs, and not only did our football team represent with a win, the band (junior AND senior high) represented with some outstanding music and moves!  It was so much fun to see all these kids be in the moment and enjoy it all.

Owen is in the back row, right between two very tall HS band members,
Mitchell is in the front playing the roll of another really tall band member,

Under Review

As Mitchell is now marching with the High School band, he got the chance to be in the Marching Band Review in Cadillac this year.  The weather was usually warm for October (75), but it was fantastic for the fans in the stands! They did several pieces and they all looked sharp.

Blue Lake Symphony Band

Mitchell headed off to Blue Lake again this year.  This time he was playing the bass clarinet. After ditching me in like 5 minutes, he later auditioned and earned a seat in the Symphony Band!  Well done! Watching and listening to them play on the final day is always amazing.  What they achieve in 12 days is stunning!

The obligatory wave.

Blue Lake

Both Mitchell and Owen had the huge opportunity to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp this summer to play their instruments.  What an amazing experience for both the kids and the parents!  The boys LOVED their time there, and we the parents were stunned by the musical performances on the last day.  It was beyond words.  I think we are all hoping we can make this the first year of many that they attend.

Headed to Camp!
