Bulldog Homecoming

Last night was the Homecoming football game for the Mesick Bulldogs, and not only did our football team represent with a win, the band (junior AND senior high) represented with some outstanding music and moves!  It was so much fun to see all these kids be in the moment and enjoy it all.

Owen is in the back row, right between two very tall HS band members,
Mitchell is in the front playing the roll of another really tall band member,

Under Review

As Mitchell is now marching with the High School band, he got the chance to be in the Marching Band Review in Cadillac this year.  The weather was usually warm for October (75), but it was fantastic for the fans in the stands! They did several pieces and they all looked sharp.

Tree Tops

This summer the kids decided they were done with the playset in the front yard, and Dad offered to upgrade their tree fort with the harvested parts.  Today was the magical day that the renovations began!  While he was busy with construction, we tried to hand him pieces to make things easier.  Riley love that her humans were all outside, so she was very happy to bound through the fields around us.

Patiently waiting?

Hallowells Take TC

Uncle Bo and Aunt Lynne bought a house in the Traverse City area a while ago, but this was our first chance to get up there and visit.  We were blessed with a gorgeous day and Uncle Bo was eager to bring out all the water toys to play with.  The Rogers family did not protest!  :)

Blue Lake, Jazz Style!

Owen went off to session 3 at Blue Lake this year.  He was excited to try a Jazz major.  At his audition, he earned himself a chair on the Gold Jazz Band--the highest level!  He was hands-down the youngest member of his band.  Their concert was amazing as ever!  All such talented musicians.  At the end of the concert, his director gave him a mute to take home.

Fans in the stands!
