Covering the Bases

Baseball is off to a start here in Northern Michigan.  Owen was the first to have a game.  Tuesday we traveled to Manton.  Owen played catcher a few innings.  His competitive side got the better of him when he struck out, but he recovered nicely and singled his next at bat.  It was a decent beginning for his season.

Today we played a rescheduled game.  Owen played catcher for a bit, pitcher once,  and again singled at the plate.  It was a close game until the top of the 6th and final inning, when Buckley's team scored 7-- the max per inning.  We came to bat in the bottom half and pushed 7 through as well!!!  The team was excited as they headed to extra innings, but they weren't able to hold on.  Buckley won in the end.

Tuesday both boys play in Mesick.  We'll have the bleacher report to follow!
