Wow! Christmas was again magical at the Rogers' house. The kids all "slept" in Mitchell's room, and managed to stay downstairs until 6:22am that morning. I think they'd tell you it was well worth the wait!
Lucy opened the first gift of the morning; it was impossible to resist the present Santa left when it was wrapped in pink AND had a monkey tied in the bow! Among other things, she also got a pink robe, a bead set to make jewelry, and 3 Cabbage Patch Kids from Mommy. That was a big hit.
Owen was wide-eyed all morning. Santa gifted him a much-desired remote control Jeep and a vet set for all of his doggies. He also got a science set, fold 'n fly paper airplanes, Legos from Mommy's years that have light and sound, and a very prized gift-certificate to rent games for the Wii.

Mitchell is in Lego mode. He was very fortunate to receive Legos from Santa and from several relatives. In fact, he had so many Legos he spent all day building, and apparently neglected usual things like, say, eating breakfast or lunch. Besides the Legos, he was very excited to get several Harry Potter things--movies and a Wii game.
A BIG surprise was a pair of skiis for Mommy. Apparently Daddy, Grammy
B, and Aunt Ruthie were all in cahoots to pull this off. It was a total
shock. I am looking forward to trying out these new skis.
When asked if there was a favorite thing about the day, each kiddo
eagerly said "all of it!" I would agree.
We were and are all very
richly blessed.
