All-Star Efforts

The softball/baseball season is nearing and end, but both Lucy's team and the boys' team had wins this week.  

Tuesday, Lucy was 3 for 4, with 2 of them being strong hits to left field.  ⚾️

The boys played last night;  Owen got things started pitching! ⚾️

While Owen was pitching, Mitchell had an unassisted double-play!  He caught a pop-fly and tagged a runner.  It was a great night. ⚾️

Both Lucy's team and the boys' team have playoff games Saturday.  ⚾️

Duck Duck Sploosh

Lucy's coach has been amazing.  She does a great job teaching these young girls great fundamentals of the game, and does so with great patience.  She also shook things up a bit at the last practice!  They all played Duck, Duck, Sploosh at the end.

Lucy is playing coach pitch softball this year!  Her coach has been great teaching the girls different parts of the game, and is also really good about letting each girl try out different positions.  Here is Lucy with her Purple Parrots:

Swinging for the Fence

Mesick's softball team hosted a practice session for future softballers, and Lucy jumped at the chance.  Our favorite babysitter Clara is on the team and was there working with all the little ones.  Later though, she worked her magic with Lucy in the batting cage and had Lucy hitting from a moving ball instead of from a T!  Lucy was on cloud nine.  The finished off the practice by getting to douse the players and coaches with a squirt gun!
