1st Grade Showcase

Owen and his first grade classmates put on a fine show tonight!  We were treated to several songs and readings.  It was quite impressive!  The atmosphere was completed by student artwork and classwork hanging around the gym.

All Dressed Up and to a Showcase We Go!

Tonight was the big 3rd grade Showcase at school.  Lucy and Owen even wanted to get all spruced up for the occasion.  Mitchell and his classmates got to wear the t-shirts they won in the ISD-wide social studies contest.

And what a great night!  They had all sorts of writing projects on display, as well as artwork, and we were delighted with some singing.  They have obviously been working very hard in preparation!  Mitchell also had the honors of a speaking part.  He did a great job.

Mitchell researched Thomas Edison and his impact on Michigan.

Mitchell's Buck Wilder inspired fish.

When out shopping a few weekends ago, Owen insisted that he get a shirt and tie so he could look like Mr. Akom.
Many thanks to the 3rd graders and their wonderful teachers for all their hard work.  It was a great night!

Showcasing Talents

The Kindergarten Showcase was tonight, and we had some great seats to the show!  Grammy B, Grandma Rogers, and Papa Denny sat with us for the big event.
The kindergartners did a super job with all of their songs and rhymes.  They had us laughing and smiling from the start!  Owen did an amazing job with the songs and motions, but especially with his facial expressions.

After the performance, we were able to catch a glimpse of Owen's artwork hanging in the hallway.
