6 with Style

For Lucy's big 6th birthday, she chose to have her very best-est girls over for an Un-Sleepover Party.    The 6 girls all wore their jammies, painted nails (with "paint nolish"), colored, and played with dolls.  It was a grand time.  They all enjoyed the sugary goodness of cake and ice-cream, Hello Kitty style.

And today for her "for real" birthday, she took in Owl cupcakes for her classmates.  (Mrs. Jurik's room has an owl theme.)

All in all, I think she's say 6 turned out pretty good.  :)

Birthday Bonanza!

The festivities began Thursday with Lucy helping make cupcakes to take to Tonia's on Friday. She couldn't help but sample (as any good chef should!).

Saturday after the boys played soccer we came home, briefly helped with concrete, then we had family and friends over to help Lucy celebrate her big #3. She was all about having her friends help with presents. As she opened, she hugged gifts tightly. She loved all the new clothes, but Mitchell, who said something to the effect of "where are the presents, like, the toys?". When he was told that girls like clothes he looked stunned.
