Love, Thankfully

We celebrated Valentine's Day with Chocolate Ebelskivers! Grammy B had kindly sent us a whole Ebelskiver cookbook as well as mix to make the chocolate ones. I dabbled a bit with fillings too, trying both raspberry jam in some and chocolate chips in others. Delicious! Many thanks for sending those our way!

Later in the day they enjoyed giant pink heart cookies that Mom had made for them.

Today we have been trying to survive the day off of school (notice I didn't even attempt to say "enjoy" in that sentence). We have spent some time outside, but the boys have both had to spend quite a bit of time in multiple time outs. Thankfully, their mother loves them a whole bunch (even though they make her want to tear out her hair).

When the boys weren't in time out today, we went outside for a while and enjoyed the relative warmth (high 20s). The boys were sledding and Lucy and I played together. Later we were joined by Papa Denny and Cousin Kaleb. Owen had fun sledding down and wiping out, saying "that was awesome" after he sprawled out on the driveway. Kaleb and Mitchell took turns racing down the hill. Charlie even got in on the fun, looking rather youthful as she played for a few moments with Papa Denny.

Love soccer in the snow! You certainly have your hands full with those bundles of joy.

It is actually a hockey net that Mitchell got for his birthday, but Lucy improvised.
