Baptizing Baby Lucy

This was a fun weekend made better by great weather. It has been unseasonably warm here the last several days. Flowers popped up overnight. Yesterday family and friends rolled in for the big event. Lucy got practice wearing fancy dresses by posing for the camera in her mom's baptismal gown, which is now over 100 years old. Here she is... Mommy's picture is in there too.

Same dress,
same chair with different upholstery,
+30 years

Lucy woke up in a nice mood. Even in the car she was ready with a smile.

Today the sun shined on as Miss Lucy was baptized by Father Joe. The service was wonderful, and Lucy was her usual chipper self throughout the ceremony. She looked fabulous in Dad's gown. Here she is, surrounded by her parents and God-parents, as well as Father Joe.

Wow! The picture of both of you in the chair with your dress on is crazy! (In a good way!) I certainly know how it is to be told by everyone how much I look like my mom...looks like Lucy will get a lot of the same comments!
