The Easter Bunny left colored bubbles for everyone, and it was very breezy outside. The kids didn't even have to blow the bubbles, they just lifted the wand out of the bottle and the bubbles flew out!

An Egg-tacular Morning
Easter came early at the Rogers' house... At 6:04, Lucy was no longer able to contain her excitement that the Easter Bunny had clearly visited our house. Her eagerness was briefly channeled into scouting missions (egg locations, brothers' wakefulness, etc). FINALLY, at 6:18, Owen joined the party (I had to wake Mitchell up). They raced around the house with unbridled jelly-bean joy.

Jamaica!
This year Ken and I made an escape to Jamaica while the kids had time with Grammy (see STP post). After the unusually subarctic weather we had this winter, the island get-away was particularly therapeutic.
One day we went down to Negril. The Jamaicans as a whole are extremely polite and welcoming; they are, however, CRAZY drivers. We were very thankful that we did not rent a car for this vacation, but instead booked a driver for the day. On the way our driver took us to a roadside stand where we got to drink coconut water. They chopped the coconuts open for us and plunked in a straw. Surprisingly, it does not taste like coconut. There is also A LOT inside.
Most of the time we were in a state of relaxation on the resort. There was a lot to see and enjoy.
We stayed at the Oasis at Sunset Beach in Montego Bay. This was the view from our room.

Once we got to Negril, we spent some time at 7 Mile Beach, finishing the day at Rick's Cafe. This place is well known for its sunsets.... and CLIFF JUMPING. There are people who work there as lifeguards, and they are massively muscular. We quickly found out why. As they drum up money from the crowd, they take turns climbing up to a perch some 85 feet above water level. They do one-arm pull-ups and wave to the crowd before taking the plunge into the ocean below. Customers can also jump, from either 25 or 35 feet. Ken readily took this challenge... twice. I was happy to spectate.

STP
In order to reduce the incessant questioning of 3 Rogers children, spring break with Grammy was filled with STP.
Secret Travel Plans
Part one of the adventure took place in Grand Rapids at a hotel that had quite the indoor water park.
Uncle Marc, Aunt Mary, Amanda, Leroy, and Paisley joined the entertainment committee here. Great Aunt Amy and Great Grandpa Grumps also added to the crew. Highlights-- Garage Games with Uncle Marc, park visits, and eating at Cracker Barrel.

❄️(Insert your own snowy title here) ❄️
Winter is in full force in Northern Michigan. Last week we were hit with the Polar Vortex and subzero windchills that closed school twice. Things have "warmed up" and we were actually able to go skiing last night with the school's ski club. It was very snowy, but lots of fun.
This week we were hit with snow, and we find ourselves on our third snow day. It was a perfect day to build a fort!
